Extension at Trigg

A sanctuary that feels both timeless and deeply connected to its place – a minimalist retreat where architecture dissolves into the rhythm of the coast.

This architecturally designed home embodies the essence of coastal minimalism. The structure is deliberately pared back, defined by clean lines, open volumes, and an unembellished material palette that allows the natural surroundings to take center stage. The exterior is a composition of raw concrete, timber, and glass – materials chosen for their honesty, texture, and ability to age gracefully in the salt-laden air. Large expanses of glazing frame uninterrupted views, while sliding panels dissolve the boundaries between inside and out, creating a seamless flow of space.

Inside, the design continues the minimalist narrative. A restrained palette of white walls, polished concrete floors, and Timber detailing offers a calm backdrop to the constantly shifting light. Spaces are open and flexible, yet grounded in functionality – every detail considered, nothing superfluous.

Sustainable principles underpin the home’s concept: passive solar orientation, natural cross-ventilation, and repurposed timbers lend warmth and environmental sensitivity to the design.
